West Coast Swing is one of the most creative, athletic, and technically demanding partner dances in the world. The people who dedicate their lives to it (the champions, instructors, and competitors who travel every weekend) are world-class artists by any reasonable definition.
They deserve gear that reflects that. And they deserve to get paid.
Push Pass Whip exists for both of those reasons.
Where it started
Push Pass Whip was first scribbled in a notebook in July of 2018, a quick crossword of words, a few arrow icon sketches, and an idea that West Coast Swing deserved its own brand built from the inside. The domain was registered the same year.
It took eight years to get here, I hope it was worth the wait!
Who I am
PPW was founded by Joel Torgeson — West Coast Swing champion, instructor, judge, and someone who has spent the better part of his life inside this community. I know this dance from the inside, which means I know what dancers actually want to wear, how clothes need to move, and what it means to represent this community well.
What we make
I built the basics line for the dancer who wants clean, wearable gear without the noise of huge prints. Quality construction, subtle branding, and pieces that hold up on the floor and off it. The stealth line takes it further with black-on-black embroidery designed specifically for competition and performance wear.

The collab model
Here's where (I hope!) it gets interesting: PPW partners with West Coast Swing pros to create limited edition collab drops — designed together, released in limited quantities, and structured so that 100% of the profit goes directly to the artist. Not a percentage. Not a donation. All of it.
We built the infrastructure so artists don't have to. They bring their creativity and their audience. We handle the rest. Everyone wins, especially the people who make this community worth being part of.
